How to Use Comfort Breathing During Childbirth

Key to obtain a smooth birth process in addition to relaxed and calm is still breathing with a good pattern. Because then you can overcome a sense of discomfort during the contractions. And in prenatal classes in HypnoBirthing class Midwife Kita, I always teach this to my clients. Why do I teach breathing techniques, called Comfort Breathing to my clients? Yes, because often I find that most mothers instinctively will actually find breathing pattern that best fit them and there is no right or wrong way to do it. But often panic when they've already felt the discomfort during the contractions so that the breathing pattern became irregular and does not help reduce the discomfort. Well for that I am trying to teach these techniques with the aim of getting trained since the pregnancy and then when the delivery arrived the mother can do this automatically.

Respiratory comfort of this breathing technique is used primarily when the mother feels discomfort when the contractions started. The trick is:
1. Give a "signal" to your partner that the contraction has begun to take a deep breath and then remove it slowly. This is called cleansing breath like a sigh and help your body to be ready to face what will come. Remember to release all your tension during this cleansing breath. For your spouse: He would see that, even before cleaning your breath, your body unknowingly giving him the signal when the initial contraction. This can be like a hand squeezing, shaking legs or other body language. The body of a mother who is in labor has all kinds of subtle ways to remind their partner about what will happen.
2. Then do the breath cleansing by slow, fixed focus your attention on anything that takes you into an atmosphere that provide a sense of serenity - like looking at one point, seeing the beautiful pictures, listen to music, watching shadows on the wall, imagine the beach, mountains or anything that makes you are more calm. Continue to breathe slowly through the contractions.
3. Combine your breathing with other comfort measures such as to moan (make sound Oom ... ..), make a loud noise and low, swaying hips, letting your body writhing, do massage, hot or cold compresses, bath shower with warm water - or anything that makes You are much more comfortable.
4. Remember! Your mouth is directly related to the vagina. If your mouth with a tight frown, then so will your bottom. Try not to tighten and tense your mouth and try to relax. If you do not believe now try to tense your mouth (mecucu or frown) while flexing your vagina, you surely will have difficulty because the mouth is related to the vagina. And now make the "O" small with your mouth and feel the difference in your vagina. So keep your mouth loose and relaxed during a contraction and this will make the bottom of your loose and relaxed as well.
When the contraction ends:
1. Take a cleansing breath to close the contraction.
1. Moving, taking a sip of water, lie lie, whatever you need to do at that time. Try not to think about the next contraction to come, just focusing on this moment and believe that your body will be able to handle what happens next.
2. In the moments between contractions, do not expect your body to fully relax. Do not expect yourself to be completely asleep. The important thing is you just relax and do the belly breathing will help you.
3. Let your stay in a comfortable and quiet situation.
